The Andy Russell Charitable Foundation

The Andy Russell Charitable Foundation was created in March of 1999 primarily to contribute funds to children's charities. The Foundation hopes to support a number of programs, particularly important mediation research organizations concentrating on those for children. To date, the foundation has supported such charities as Children's Hospital Free Care Fund, the Ronald McDonald House, Leukemia Society, the Cancer Society, PA Economics Programs for school children, Junior Achievement, Cystic Fibrosis, Mothers Hope, Juvenile Diabetes, SIDS, and Pittsburgh Vision Services.

Who is Andy Russell?
Andy Russell, a 12-year veteran of the Pittsburgh Steelers and 7-time Pro-Bowl Selection, has just as many merits off the field for his participation in charitable organizations as he does on the field as one of the greatest linebackers to play in the NFL.

Andy Russell Art
This "traditional oil" of Andy Russell was painted by artist Denny Karchner. The #56 patch on Andy's left shoulder is a commemoration to his best friend, Ray Mansfield.
